Kara Gilmore, Founder
Kara Gilmore is an educator, instructional leader, and founder of The Gilmore Group. With more than twenty years of experience across K–12, higher education, and the educational technology industry, Kara has built her career around advancing instructional excellence and student achievement.
As founder of The Gilmore Group, Kara supports students and families through executive function coaching and learning support, while also partnering with schools and educators to strengthen instructional systems and expand equitable access to learning opportunities. Her work bridges research and practice—translating evidence-based strategies into curriculum and effective approaches that close achievement gaps and elevate student outcomes.
Grounded in her teaching philosophy, Kara prioritizes scaffolding & differentiated instruction, data-driven practices, and life skills development as pathways to lasting academic success.
Kara’s instructional leadership includes designing and implementing school-wide curriculum initiatives, mentoring teachers, and guiding faculty in adopting innovative instructional practices. She has consistently demonstrated the ability to align rigorous academic standards with supportive, student-centered teaching methods that empower learners and build teacher capacity.
Kara earned a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Kean University. She begins her Doctorate in Educational Leadership in Fall 2026 to further advance her commitment to instructional innovation and academic success.
